In what can only be described as a defensive intervention, Notre Dame rolled into Fayetteville and decided Arkansas’s football team needed a crash course—offered via an impromptu masterclass of tackles, touchdowns, and total domination. The scoreboard read like an overzealous science experiment gone wrong: Notre Dame 50, Arkansas 3.
Sources report the Fighting Irish arrived fully geared for medieval warfare, breaching Razorback morale in less time than it takes to microwave a burrito. Arkansas’s offense, meanwhile, seemed convinced they were on a scenic bus tour of Notre Dame’s 10-yard line—until Irish defenders kindly escorted them back to midfield.
To commemorate the event, Irish players were spotted snapping selfies next to the goalposts, which Arkansas fans have since declared “the Zone of Ultimate Humiliation.” Head coach Marcus Freeman referred to his squad’s performance as “business as usual,” though business seems to involve torching willing victims and then offering free tickets to the local funeral home.
When asked for comment, an Arkansas linebacker reportedly replied, “We thought we signed up for competitive football, not advanced calculus of pain.” Notre Dame, however, insists they’ll be gentle next time—right after they submit their résumé for “Defense of the Year.”
