Five-Star LSU Freshman Shocked to Learn Chairs Don’t Count as Playing Time

Five-Star LSU Freshman Shocked to Learn Chairs Don’t Count as Playing Time - painting of LSU Tigers football venue

When Brian Kelly needed a miracle—or at least someone who could stay upright in cleats—he turned his gaze to LSU’s prized five-star freshman during Week 5 at Ole Miss. Word around Baton Rouge is this blue-chip phenom, who spent most of fall camp perfecting the art of bench decor, finally got the nod to prove he’s not just a fashionable sideline accessory.

Sources say the kid arrived pumped, convinced that sheer star wattage would earn him snaps. Instead, he discovered that football involves more than bursting onto social media with #FreshmanMagic. After a shaky first series, complete with a stumble worthy of a viral GIF, the young phenom rallied—and may have even convinced Coach Kelly that, yes, raw talent and actual tackling might coexist.

Now our headline recruit is sniffing around for additional reps, certain he’s on the cusp of turning “walk-on Wannabe” into “full-time Playmaker.” LSU fans are bracing for fireworks, or at least the occasional highlight reel fumble that’ll go down as “Oh yeah, remember when?” If the freshman can translate star ratings into gridiron glory, he might just turn the Bayou State into his personal playground—bench optional.
