Recruiting Frenzy: Britt & Robinson’s Final 10 Showdown
Memphis Lausanne’s four-star wide receiver Lawrence Britt, ranked No. 5 in the 2027 cycle, has trimmed his list to 10 finalists, including Ole Miss, Oregon, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri, Florida, Florida State, Miami and Vanderbilt. At 6 ft 2 and 180 lb, he amassed nearly 1,000 all-purpose yards as a sophomore, balancing 392 receiving yards and 485 rushing yards with double-digit touchdowns. Meanwhile, Brandon, Mississippi’s four-star running back Tyson Robinson, the No. 4 back in 2027, has also named his top 10—featuring Ole Miss, Alabama, Michigan, Texas and others—after piling up 1,295 rushing yards, 24 scores and 668 receiving yards with 10 touchdowns during a 12-2 season that reached the 7A title game.
It’s like Black Friday at Lane Kiffin’s playbook swap meet: two high-school phenoms, a dozen powerhouse schools and more highlight reels than a Hollywood demo reel. Britt and Robinson are treated like rare Pokémon, and coaches are throwing offers faster than confetti at Mardi Gras. Meanwhile, the rest of us mere mortals are left scrolling through stats, wondering if we’ll ever get that kind of attention—let alone 10 different hand-signed jerseys in our mailbox. Stay tuned for the final pick, or at least until the next recruiting cycle creates even more melodrama.
