Stanley’s OL Shuffle: Seventh Gamecock Seeks New Turf
Boaz Stanley, a 6-foot-3, 325-pound redshirt junior from Bogart, Georgia, has become the seventh South Carolina offensive lineman to enter the transfer portal since the end of the 2024 season. After transferring in before 2025, he started nine games (center and guard) and appeared in all 12 contests. Stanley’s departure extends a wave of exits—17 total players—across multiple positions. With the portal window opening January 2 and closing on the 16th, coach Shane Beamer and new O-line coach Randy Clements will need to scramble to plug the holes in the trenches.
Congratulations to the Gamecocks’ offensive line for turning coach Beamer’s locker room into Grand Central Station—where every seat is perpetually empty. Who knew the real “spring transfer” was happening in winter? At this rate, the only thing sturdier than the O-line will be the list of available portal highlights on YouTube.
Jacobs Leaps: Leading Receiver Hunts Third College Home
Vandrevius Jacobs, South Carolina’s 2025 leader in catches (32 receptions, 548 yards, four TDs), is entering the transfer portal after just one season in Columbia. The 6-foot, 182-pound wideout from Vero Beach previously played at Florida State, and his departure marks the 18th Gamecock to transfer. In 2024, Jacobs made nine appearances with four starts, delivering his best performance against Old Dominion (59 yards). With depth chart shakeups and NFL departures ahead, Jacobs now looks to find his third collegiate stop.
It takes real talent to rack up 548 yards and still flee the scene faster than a referee spotting a phantom holding call. Jacobs must believe there’s a greener practice field out there—one stocked with fewer dropped passes and more championship banners. College football’s version of “Where’s Waldo?” just got a new star.
