Notre Dame's 2026 Title Quest Ignites - painting of Notre Dame Fighting Irish football venue

Irish Redemption Tour Kicks Off at Lambeau

After narrowly missing a College Football Playoff spot in 2025, Notre Dame is already eyeing revenge in 2026. Head coach Marcus Freeman returns most of his roster, including Heisman co-favorite quarterback CJ Carr and a lightning-fast receiving corps. Early projections have the Irish among the top three teams nationally, with marquee matchups against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field and tough tests against BYU, Miami and SMU. ESPN analyst Greg McElroy argues that continuity at quarterback and an explosive offense could vault Notre Dame into the national championship conversation, while insiders point to a lockdown secondary and a deep running game as further proof of title legitimacy.

Notre Dame fans everywhere can finally breathe easy—no more quarterback carousels or improvisational play-calling. CJ Carr is apparently more than just a rental property, and offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock has traded his checkers for grandmaster-level chess. Rumor has it the Irish even installed underground sprint tracks so wide receivers can arrive faster than your caffeine buzz. Meanwhile, Marcus Freeman is polishing his “Ring or Bust” rally speech, certain that 2026 will be the year he secures his coaching equivalent of an Oscar. Because if you can’t win a national title with a Heisman-caliber QB, a roster full of portal transfers and magical midwestern weather, you might as well take up bookkeeping.
