From Third Grade Tackle to NFL Dream
As the 2026 NFL Draft approaches, Duke Blue Devils standout offensive lineman Brian Parker II has been turning heads at the NFL Combine. A Cincinnati native, Parker spent his first year in Durham playing sparingly but grew into a two-time lineman of the year award winner and Second Team All-ACC honoree. Standing 6’5” and tipping the scales at 300 pounds, he protected ACC passing leader Darian Mensah and earned All-American honors in 2025. Parker attributes his gridiron devotion to a childhood revelation: the simple joy of hitting people on the playground without getting in trouble.
In a stunning display of childhood innocence, this future NFL star discovered his true calling in third grade when he realized sanctioned slugfests on grass had more benefits than teenage house chores. With the poise of a board game champion and the sheer brute force of a wrecking ball, Parker forged friendships in the trenches and college accolades followed. Now, he’s poised to hear his name called early in April—as soon as the NFL realizes that no one polishes a set of teeth quite like a Blue Devils lineman on game day.
