Rebels Snatch Midwest Edge Sensation Over Huskers & Gophers

Rockford (Ill.) Guilford’s three-star edge rusher Keysan Taylor, ranked among the Top-35 EDGE prospects in America, shocked the recruiting world by committing to Pete Golding’s Ole Miss Rebels. Standing at 6-4 and weighing 225 pounds, Taylor fended off offers from Nebraska, Minnesota, Indiana, Vanderbilt, Penn State and more after a junior season featuring 68 tackles (23 for loss), 6.5 sacks, seven pass deflections, an interception returned for a touchdown, plus 23 catches for 430 yards and four offensive touchdowns. On the offensive line front, Oxford’s own Ford Wade, a three-star interior lineman ranked among the Top-100 in the 2027 cycle, pledged to stay home after fielding interest from Nebraska, NC State, South Alabama and Harvard. At 6-4 and 290 pounds, Wade has showcased his snapping prowess and versatility, impressing Ole Miss O-line coach John Garrison with his center-guard size and relationship with the staff.

Looks like Ole Miss is building a recruiting conveyor belt down South—first comes the EDGE terror, then the Snap King himself. One can almost hear Golding’s office echoing with “I told you so” as recruits line up like it’s Black Friday at Walmart. Meanwhile, Nebraska fans are left refreshing Twitter feeds, hoping for a recruiting miracle, and Minnesota supporters are frantically googling “Is Oxford in the South?” Rumor has it Taylor and Wade plan to fast-pass the SEC, only stopping to autograph the defeated.
