Badgers Secure Sorgi Heir to the Throne

A legacy quarterback, Jack Sorgi—son of former Wisconsin signal-caller Jim Sorgi—has committed to the Badgers’ 2027 recruiting class after decommitting from Louisville. Ranked a four-star prospect and No. 23 QB nationally by 247Sports, the 6-foot-4, 205-pounder from Tri-West High School posted 2,911 yards and 31 touchdowns last season and boasts a versatile athletic background, including Top-25 baseball prospect status in Indiana. Wisconsin has already captured eight of the state’s top ten recruits for 2027, and Sorgi’s early pledge bolsters a class now ranked 17th nationally and sixth in the Big Ten.

Congratulations to Wisconsin coaches for landing a duffel bag full of genes. It turns out nepotism still scores higher on the leaderboard than pure talent—or at least that’s what happens when the son of Jim Sorgi strolls in clutching a family heirloom playbook. Who needs hours of tape study when you can just bypass the line? Meanwhile, Badger commits have been acting like medieval bards, serenading Jack on social media until he succumbed. Next up: hive-mind recruiting sessions, war chants at summer visits, and maybe a pep rally or two held over Zoom. At this rate, the 2027 roster might include every living relative of Courtney Lawton. We await the day when Wisconsin fields a team of fathers, mothers, siblings, and the occasional goldfish—all to keep it in the family.
