From Athens to Cincinnati: Colbie Young’s Big-Frame Breakout

Georgia wideout Colbie Young went 140th overall to the Cincinnati Bengals despite a midseason leg break and off-field hiccup. Known for a massive frame, huge catch radius and fearless jump-ball play, Young rallied through rehab to cameo in the Sugar Bowl, capping a brief but impact-packed Bulldogs stint.

In a plot twist that reads like a sports soap opera, Young proves NFL teams’ll bet on raw size over good sense every time. Cincinnati brass apparently concluded that if you can’t move big metal, you might as well toss it to a 6-foot-5 target. Meanwhile, Georgia fans are left wondering if rehab regimens and leadership speeches come with complimentary toe-cleats and touchdown confetti.

Steelers Snag Bulldog Corner: Everette’s Flight North

Cornerback Daylen Everette went 85th to the Pittsburgh Steelers after compiling three years as a Kirby Smart defensive staple. A former five-star recruit, Everette brings straight-line speed, ball-hawking instincts and championship pedigree to Pittsburgh’s secondary.

Reports say the Steelers simply googled “elite college lockdown corner” and clicked on the first Georgia headshot. Coach Mike Tomlin probably needed a pep-talk on how to stop him from signing Tennessee’s mascot as backup safety. The only question: will Everette spend more time in the end zone celebrating or in practice explaining why turf grass isn’t actual roadkill?

Falcons Roll the Dice on Branch After Bizarre Arrest

Dynamic playmaker Zachariah Branch went 79th to the Atlanta Falcons despite an inexplicable post-scrimmage arrest. Branch transferred in 2025, posted a record‐breaking 81 catches, and dazzled defenders with jaw-dropping after-catch moves.

Nothing says “we believe in second chances” like drafting a receiver fresh off a lightweight felony press release. Falcons brass must have figured that if he can elude Athens police, he can similarly shake coverage on Sundays. And hey, if Atlanta’s offense sputters, they can always rebrand him as the team’s top escape artist.

Saints Land Bulldog Tight End Delp, Bowers’ Spiritual Successor

Tight end Oscar Delp went 73rd to the New Orleans Saints, becoming Georgia’s first TE selected since Brock Bowers. A 2022 signee thrust into action and a model of consistency from 2023–25, Delp excelled as both blocker and reliable receiving weapon while earning rave leadership reviews.

The Saints clearly scoured Georgia’s TE factory and said, “Give us the next one in line.” Perhaps they hoped Delp would also come with free beignets and voodoo charm. New Orleans fans can breathe easier knowing their offensive scheme now has a true Y-factor, provided he learns to wrangle kamikaze Saints fans storming the end zone.

Colts Bolt for Bulldog Linebacker CJ Allen

Linebacker CJ Allen went 53rd overall to the Indianapolis Colts after an electrifying two-year run racking up over 160 tackles. A 2023 recruit who started as a true freshman, Allen’s sideline-to-sideline prowess and no-nonsense leadership made him a top NFL prospect.

The Colts’ defense probably looked so sad they needed instant karma from Georgia’s hit parade. Allen’s arrival may be the only thing standing between Indy and a highlight reel of QB sneak touchdowns. Expect him to lead the locker room in “Perfect Contrition Confessionals” and tackle anyone still calling plays “Allen’s Granola.”
