Seminoles Tackle the NFL: Chiefs & Bills Call

The Florida State Seminoles saw just one player drafted in 2026 but are sending more talent to the pros nonetheless. Offensive tackle Micah Pettus and long snapper Mason Arnold landed rookie minicamp invites with the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills, respectively. Pettus, a towering 6-foot-7 lineman who slimmed down for Pro Day after transferring from Ole Miss, started 40 games over four seasons and earned FSU’s Offensive Newcomer award. Arnold, the Seminoles’ Special Teams MVP, snapped two seasons at FSU and spent part of 2022 at Ohio State, even appearing in the College Football Playoff semifinals. Their performance in April’s minicamps could earn them spots on 90-man rosters.

Breaking news: the Seminoles’ only NFL draftee must now fend for himself as his teammates hitch rides to minicamps like eager duffel bags. Pettus, a man twice as tall as your average quarterback, decided that 349 pounds was just too heavy for Twitter selfies and sculpted himself into a svelte behemoth for Pro Day. Meanwhile, Arnold perfected the art of snapping balls, likely convinced he could out-snap your average social media influencer. Now, Kansas City and Buffalo get to audition for the privilege of employing two guys whose biggest achievement so far is successfully making it to face paints and tailgate grills without losing a shoe. Will they survive the roster cut? Odds are better than your FSU team winning the national title, but that’s not saying much.
