Bayou Beast Bound for Baton Rouge

Bayou Beast Bound for Baton Rouge - painting of LSU Tigers football venue

Titan Tight End Chooses Tigers Over the Rest

Ahmad Hudson, ranked No. 18 nationally in the 2027 class, has committed to LSU under Lane Kiffin’s high-octane offense. Standing 6’6.5″ and weighing 239 pounds, Hudson turned down offers from over 30 power-conference schools, including multiple SEC programs, to join the Tigers in Baton Rouge. He becomes the fifth signee in LSU’s celebrated 2027 haul, alongside top-ranked quarterback Peyton Houston, edge rusher Jaiden Bryant, athlete Braylon Calais, and wideout Ah’Mari Stevens. A two-sport star, Hudson is expected to play both football and basketball, following in the footsteps of Trey’Dez Green. His father, Antonio Hudson, was an LSU basketball standout from 2002–2005. Ahmad’s high school résumé boasts 718 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 2024, plus a dominant basketball season leading Louisiana in rebounds.

Finally, a kid with the size of a small skyscraper and the agility of a caffeinated cat has graced Baton Rouge. Lane Kiffin must have sold his soul and LSU’s signature purple Kool-Aid in bulk to reel in Ahmad Hudson away from 30 other contenders. Football purists can rest easy that Hudson can both catch touchdowns and chase down stray basketballs during halftime showdowns. His father’s LSU legacy officially transforms this into a family reunion, complete with touchdown dances and triple-doubles. Rumor has it Kiffin is already drafting social media clapbacks for other schools’ fans who dared question Hudson’s decision. Just wait until he’s dunking and scoring on the Bayou Bengals’ hardwood—will he wear pads or elbow sleeves? The suspense is real.
