Valade to Announce Gators Choice on June 27

West Boca Raton’s three-star safety Loia Valade, rated No. 41 at his position and No. 505 overall, has revealed he’ll commit on June 27. The Florida Gators are among his final four options—alongside Auburn, Miami and Texas A&M—and currently lead the pack. Valade, who excelled at McCallie (Tenn.) with 31 tackles, three pass breakups and two interceptions (including a pick-six), also logged 664 yards and seven touchdowns on offense. He’ll visit Florida on June 4 before official trips to College Station and Baton Rouge.

Forget cliffhangers on Netflix—Valade’s commitment announcement is the summer’s must-see event. Tickets are free, but bring your own popcorn. Gator coaches are sharpening their recruiting spiel like it’s the Super Bowl halftime show, complete with recruitment-themed fireworks and a live band playing “Eye of the Tiger.” One can only imagine the tension as Valade hovers between schools like a suspense novel protagonist deciding which villain’s lair to enter. Will it be the swampy fields of Gainesville or another sun-drenched campus featuring better snack options? Stay tuned for the plot twist on June 27.

Elias Pearl Picks Gators, Nabs WR from Rivals’ Grasp

Port Charlotte’s four-star receiver Elias Pearl, ranked No. 9 at his position and No. 55 overall, committed to Florida over Florida State, Georgia, LSU, North Carolina and Ole Miss. Since coach Jon Sumrall arrived in December, Pearl has visited Gainesville four times—the most of any program—and returns officially on May 28. Florida already has three four-star receivers but remains in hot pursuit of targets like Amare Patterson and Easton Royal, hosting multiple elite prospects for summer visits. The Gators aim to push their 2027 class into the top three nationally.

It’s official—Florida has turned recruiting into Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory: endless tours, golden tickets and the occasional Oompa-Loompa marching band. Elias Pearl’s decision feels less like a football commitment and more like joining an exclusive VIP club with free hats and the perpetual promise of “next-level development.” Meanwhile, other schools are left licking their recruiting wounds, questioning their existence, and maybe considering a bake sale to entice recruits. Florida’s summer visit lineup reads like a music festival poster—six headliners, multiple opening acts, and rumors of a surprise moonwalk performance by the coaching staff.
