Dynasty DNA: Pollack Jr. Joins Clemson’s Recruiting Roster
Clemson has extended an offer to 2027 tight end prospect Nicholas Pollack, son of three-time All-American and college football analyst David Pollack. Standing 6-foot-3 and 225 pounds with a 37-inch vertical, Nicholas has experience at both tight end and outside linebacker from North Oconee High School in Georgia. His first offer arrived from Wake Forest in January, followed by interest from Cincinnati, East Carolina and Stanford. Clemson’s upcoming recruiting weekend will host Pollack among 30 other prospects. With ties to former College GameDay colleague Kirk Herbstreit—whose twins once walked on at Clemson—Pollack could bolster a tight end room led by Christian Bentancur, Olsen Patt-Henry and Logan Brooking. As the Tigers eye depth for 2027, Pollack’s pedigree and raw upside make him a standout candidate.
In today’s episode of “Because Your Dad Wore the Right Jersey,” Clemson brass has graciously RSVP’d to the Pollack family barbecue. After all, why leave talent evaluation to measurables when you can have built-in PR gold? Nicholas Pollack’s vertical leap might impress them, but it’s really Dad’s commentary credits that seal the deal. Who needs a five-star recruit when you can recruit a legacy subscription package—complete with analyst-approved soundbites? As the Tigers prepare to roll out the crimson carpet for their heir‐apparent, one thing’s clear: college football recruiting has officially become a family reunion where nepotism is just part of the playbook. Grab the pom-poms and prepare your best “Go Tigers!” facetious cheer—because this dynasty draft pick is bringing the dynasty drama.
