Gamecocks’ 2026 Offensive Depth Chart: Stars to Scrubs

The 2026 South Carolina Gamecocks offense is ranked from strongest to weakest position groups ahead of a season under new offensive coordinator Kendal Briles. Topping the list are quarterbacks led by LaNorris Sellers, a rising star poised for breakout consistency, backed by Cutter Woods and four-star recruit Landon Duckworth. Wide receivers follow, spearheaded by Nyck Harbor coming off a career-year, with a supporting cast of Jayden Sellers, Donovan Murph, Mazeo Bennett Jr., Nitro Tuggle, and DJ Black. The offensive line earns the edge over running backs due to depth and the return of Jacarrius Peak at left tackle, plus high-profile signee Darius Gray and transfer additions. Running backs slot fourth, anchored by Matt Fuller’s flashes but lacking proven depth behind him. Tight ends land last as Brady Hunt leads a thin room with minimal receiving threat beyond his 21-catch, 168-yard 2025 season. With less than 100 days until kickoff, the Gamecocks’ offensive units are set for a high-stakes audition under Briles.

If you thought the Gamecock tight ends could carry this offense, think again—this group is about as threatening as a soggy biscuit at a tailgate. Meanwhile, our quarterback room is so loaded that Sellers might need a traffic cop just to navigate the hype. The wideouts are supposedly electric, though “electric” here means they sometimes actually get open. The offensive line? Let’s call it “Swiss cheese chic,” bailing out our running backs more than our backups bail out of a basement party. And speaking of running backs, Matt Fuller gets the nod thanks to that one blockbuster run at LSU—because who doesn’t base an entire depth chart on a single big play? Finally, our tight ends are so undercooked that calling them “tepid goo” might be an improvement. But fear not! Under Briles’s “quarterback friendly” system, we’ll either levitate into the playoffs or set some truly impressive embarrassing records. Stay tuned for comedy or catastrophe—whichever arrives first.
