Buckeye Nation Invades Woody Hayes for Early Training Access

Ohio State has announced that its first three preseason football practices—scheduled for August 6–8—will be open to fans for the fourth consecutive year. Gates at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center will open at 8:00 a.m., with practices running from 9:00 a.m. to noon daily. Tickets range from $48 for general admission to $143 for a VIP experience, offering shaded tent access, refreshments, and light snacks. Fans can buy separate tickets for each of the three days. Attendees will get opportunities for player autographs and photos, plus a first look at new defensive transfers Terry Moore, James Smith, Christian Alliegro, Qua Russaw, and Earl Little Jr., offensive targets Kyle Parker, Devin McCuin, Chris Henry Jr., and Jerquaden Guilford, and top recruits like Cincere Johnson. Existing stars such as Heisman finalist Julian Sayin and standout receiver Jeremiah Smith will also be in action, along with QB2 Tavien St. Clair throwing to Hunter Welching and Mason Williams.

Fans have long dreamed of stalking their heroes in full training regalia, and Ohio State is kindly charging them the princely sum of $143 per day to fulfill this fantasy. Nothing says “We value student engagement” like separating each day’s emotional investment into discrete, add-on purchases. Make sure to bring your best sneakers—both for running to the autograph line and sprinting to your car before the VIP tent refreshments sell out. And if you miss Day Two, don’t worry: you can always pay again for Day Three! Who needs free content when you can monetize every huddle, high-five, and grunt? This is where capitalism meets college football, and the real winner is whoever polishes those concession stands.
