It’s comforting to see Nebraska finally get cast as Cinderella’s fairy godparents rather than the pumpkin at midnight. After eight straight first-round flops, the Huskers have summoned enough roster mojo to make CBS believe they might not trip over their shoelaces on opening night. And even though returning your best scorer should be table stakes—much like free pizza at a dorm party—CBS insists it’s the golden ticket. Never mind that most programs would murder for a player who shoots 42.3% from downtown; Sandfort’s ninja-quick release has apparently single-handedly vaulted Nebraska into national-title superstardom.
