Nebraska’s 2026 Starters and 2027 OL Commit Class

The 2027 Cornhusker Wall: Beefing Up the O-Line

Nebraska’s 2027 recruiting class is centered on reshaping the offensive line under new coach Geep Wade, who immediately leveraged ACC and SEC connections to land a record haul of five standout linemen. First came Matt Erickson, a 6-foot-7½, multi-sport phenom from Omaha Millard North, who committed swiftly after camp impressions. Georgia duo Jordan Agbanoma and KD Jones followed, both reuniting with Wade and assistant Lonnie Teasley from their tech years and choosing Nebraska over Texas A&M, Georgia, Kentucky and more. Locust Grove’s Timi Aliu also jumped on board after Wade’s relentless home visits and spring-game recruiting trips fended off Florida and Clemson. Lastly, legacy Barrett Kitrell, the Ashland-Greenwood star with a family lineage at Nebraska, closed out the class thanks to Wade’s consistent courtship and peer recruiting efforts. Together, these five commits form what many call the best high-school offensive line class in modern Husker history.

If Nebraska football were a medieval castle, Geep Wade just ordered a thousand extra bricks—but only from the largest quarry in the land. With Matt Erickson’s height (perfect for staring into defensive backs’ helmets), Jordan Agbanoma’s interior grit and KD Jones’s potential to play center despite having arms longer than a giraffe, the Cornhuskers are ready to blockade any villainous blitzers. Throw in Timi Aliu, who can bench-press farm tractors, and the Kitrell legacy boy, who might still be doing his shot-put warm-ups in August, and you’ve got an offensive wall so thick you could carve a corn maze into it. Opposing defenses, prepare to meet the one unit truly committed to making Grumpy Gus, the stadium gargoyle, jealous of all that muscle.

Rhule’s Huskers: Week One Starters from QB to Nickel

As fall camp creeps closer, Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule’s rebuild continues with a full projection of the Week 1 starting lineup against Ohio. On offense, veteran transfer quarterback Anthony Colandrea leads the charge, backed by sophomore Isaiah Mozee in the backfield and a star-studded wide receiver trio of Nyziah Hunter, Jacory Barney Jr. and Kwazi Gilmer. Luke Lindenmeyer anchors the tight end slot while a beefed-up line features Elijah Pritchett, Tree Babalade, Brendan Black, Paul Mubenga and Justin Evans. Defensively, new coordinator Rob Aurich’s 4-2-5 scheme leans on edge rushers Williams Nwaneri and Cameron Lenhardt, tackles Riley Van Poppel and Jahsear Whittington, linebackers Owen Chambliss, Vincent Shavers Jr. and Dexter Foster, and a secondary led by Andrew Marshall, Victor Evans III, Dwayne McDougle III and nickel Donovan Jones.

Clearly, Rhule’s magic eight-ball foretold this lineup long before fall practice began: “Outlook good, but triple-check your snap counts.” Why settle for a simple offensive scheme when you can ring in the season with five receivers, three quarterbacks, two centermen (because why not), and a defensive formation that looks like someone spilled seats across the field? Fans can’t wait to see how many redshirts get activated by Week 1’s first whistle. By the time they face Ohio, the Wolff House could be so jam-packed with position groups that Rhule might need a conference summary just to keep names straight.
