Freshman Bulldogs Making Immediate Impact in Athens

Georgia’s 2026 college football fall camp kicked off with a bang as true freshmen are already staking their claim as day-one difference-makers. Offensive lineman Zykie Helton looks poised to lock down a starting guard spot, following the immediate contributions of last year’s first-year stars. Defensive back Tyriq Green turned heads in the spring game and could rotate between safety, cornerback and STAR depending on need. Tight end Kaiden Prothro, recruited for his blocking prowess, may moonlight as a wide receiver to exploit mismatches. Rounding out the group are wideout Craig Daindridge, edge rusher Khamari Brooks and tackle prospect Ekene Ogboko, all vying for meaningful snaps in Athens this fall.

Before you know it, these rookies will be headlining campus comedy nights—if only to explain how they mastered the playbook before their professors learned their names.
