Gators 2026: New Uniforms and OL Spotlight

Center Stage: Harrison Moore’s Gator Crown

Harrison Moore, Florida’s incoming center from Georgia Tech, is set to fill the shoes of All-American Jake Slaughter. Moore, once a tight end turned trench warrior, met Slaughter during early-morning bait-shop pranks and received sage advice on handling pressure. Praised for his dogged work ethic and leadership vibes, he’s already earning comparisons to Slaughter in offseason workouts. With Sumrall’s staff changes—including Buster Faulkner and Phil Trautwein—and familiar transfer faces joining Florida, Moore looks primed for a seamless transition into the starting lineup. The Gators open on Sept. 5 against FAU with hopes that Moore’s grit will anchor the line.

Forget suiting up in spandex or tossing the pigskin around—our guy Harrison Moore proves that bait-shop ambushes and center snaps go hand in hand. Who needs the glamour of an All-American when you can get life lessons from your predecessor over gummy worms at dawn? The Gator faithful can breathe easy knowing their new center doesn’t just deadlift tractors—he also masters the fine art of stealth fishing. Phil Trautwein and Buster Faulkner probably had to sign a nondisclosure agreement to keep from weeping at Moore’s tenacity. As for Sumrall, he must be pinching himself: “Is this real?” Yes, coach, it’s real—and it’s coming right up the middle. Now pass the bait, Harrison: it’s time to snag some sacks and swamp opponents in true Gator style.

Swamp Swag: Gators Unveil Bold 2026 Uniforms

Florida announced two never-before-seen uniform combos for 2026: an all-blue ensemble (helmet, jersey, pants) and a reverse scheme pairing blue helmets with orange jerseys and white pants. These join classic home and away looks, plus 1966-themed throwbacks honoring Steve Spurrier’s Heisman season. Minor tweaks include unified stripe patterns and single-line borders on numbers. Head coach Jon Sumrall marvels at walking in Spurrier’s footsteps as the Gators prepare to debut their revamped aesthetic on Sept. 5 against FAU.

Move over camouflage and glitter helmets—Gator Nation is going full “Smurf on a sugar rush.” First, they unleash an electric-blue sea monster uniform that screams “We’re so mysterious we might be invisible.” Then they casually toss in an orange-and-blue mashup that looks like the result of a paintball accident. Ever dreamed of honoring a Heisman legend while doubling as a Nickelodeon character? Florida’s got you covered. Spurrier must be rolling in his grave—or at least giggling in retirement—watching the swamp’s sartorial glow-up. And don’t worry fans: when the Gators hit the field, they’ll still be able to tackle you in technicolor. Fashion critics, start trembling.
