USC Courts Hayden Koo for Elite Game Day Visit

Hayden Koo Locks Down Game Day Visit With Trojans

USC has zeroed in on four-star California wideout Hayden Koo as a centerpiece of its 2028 recruiting push. The Tustin High junior, one of 19 receiver targets for the Trojans, has scheduled nine official game day visits, including a trip to the Coliseum for USC’s Sept. 26 matchup with Oregon. Koo’s top-12 list features powerhouses Michigan, UCLA, Ohio State, Stanford, Oregon, Cal, Northwestern, BYU and Kentucky. It’s a five-team battle—OSU, Stanford, Oregon, USC and UCLA—each vying with offers that boast NFL track records, academic prestige or childhood fandom. Koo first toured USC during a 2025 visit, impressed at a June 2026 invite-only workout and has since bonded with inside receivers coach Chad Savage and fellow Trojan commits pushing to seal the deal. National rankings sit at No. 147 (247Sports) and No. 201 (On3/Rivals).

Watch out, college football—it’s the recruiting equivalent of a Hollywood blockbuster crossed with a teen romance novel. Picture Lincoln Riley grooming wideouts like they’re living action figures, Chad Savage pitching drills like late-night infomercials, and Hayden Koo scrolling through a spreadsheet of Power Five campuses as if choosing a Netflix subscription. USC’s marketing team has likely created a custom Snapchat filter just for Koo’s game day visit, complete with Trojan helmets raining confetti. Meanwhile, rival schools are dialing his callback number like overeager telemarketers—”Hello, young man! Did you know we produce nine NFL receivers a season?” It’s the modern coliseum: fans, families, and Fortnite-spawned highlight reels battling for an 18-year-old’s “dream offer.” Move over, Hollywood—this is recruiting season’s blockbuster.
